BACK TO BACK DYNO TESTING
The Kong 450R/500R kit was tested back to back on an outboard engine Dyno at Race Marine in Australia. Testing was conducted jointly by Race Marine and Motec using Kong Performance's 450R development engine. As seen in the product photos, the stock engine was first baseline tested. Next, the Kong 450R/500R kit was installed and tuned with a Motec ECU. The results were well over 150+ hp gain. These are verified and documented third party back to back dyno tests.

The first public outing with the Kong 450R kit was at the Lake of the Ozarks 2024. We installed our Kong 450R upgrade kits with Motec ECUs on two Doug Wright Powerboats Cats. Both boats ran 130+mph at the shootout and one setting a new all time outboard shootout record at 136mph.
